Presenting Matthew Valenti

Six weeks before Matthew's third birthday, he was diagnosed with Leukemia. He had to spend the next three weeks in the Johns Hopkins Hospital including Christmas 2006. Matthew is still in treatment and is doing well. His three year treatment has included multiple Lumbar Punctures in his spine, as well as daily, weekly and monthly chemo, steroids and antibiotics. This will end on February 21, 2010. It has been a long road but Matthew has been very brave and an inspiration to all of us. He is currently in kindergarten and enjoys playing lacrosse with his dad and two older brothers. This is Matthew's second year participating in the Lax for Leukemia Fundraiser.
