Presenting Sam Padham

My name is Sam Padham. I live in Elkton, Maryland with my parents and dog, Tessa. I am a junior at Northeast High School, take honors and AP classes and play on their Lacrosse team. I play defense and hope to make varsity this year. I am also the cocaptain of my high schools golf team. I enjoy playing basketball, football and soccer for fun too.

In 5th grade I was diagnosed with ALL Leukemia, went through chemotherapy for three years at A. I. DuPont Hospital for Children and have been in remission for 2 years. Even though I had cancer I still had my love for sports and continued to play recreation league basketball, soccer, and lacrosse throughout my treatments.

After high school I plan to go to college at the University of Maryland or Johns Hopkins and enroll in the nursing program. After college I would like to go into nursing, or maybe even become a doctor. I'd like to pursue my medical career at A.I DuPont hospital for Children.

I'm looking forward to being a part of the Lacrosse for Leukemia Fall Invitational Tournament as honorary Captain of the team. I'm a very competitive person so I'm expecting this team to kick some butt and win this tournament.
